Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Certification Class
This class provides Instructor candidates the
training needed to teach American Red Cross
swimming and water safety courses. Students
will learn how to conduct training sessions
and evaluate participants’ progress.
Participants will be certified to teach swim
lessons after completing and passing the
course. All materials and books included.
Ages
16 and up. Students must be able to swim
the precourse, including front crawl, back
crawl, butterfly, breast stroke, elementary
backstroke, sidestroke.

AQUATICS FOR KIDS
Corrective Kicking
Using a variety of teaching methods and
equipment, this class focuses on the
participant’s kick.
Ages 6 and up, and
must have passed Level 3 Beginner.

Endurance Swim
An excellent opportunity for children who
have been or are on a swim team to refine or
practice competitive strokes. Participants will
be focusing on endurance, swim sets and drills.
Participants must be able to swim 25-plus
yards continuously and know all four
competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke,
breaststroke and butterfly. Ages 5 and up.

Our American Red Cross-certified Swim
Instructors can provide you or your child
with personalized attention, focusing on
the skills you or your child needs. Do you
have two or more children within a close
range of skills that need individualized
attention? Whether you’re a beginner or
advanced swimmer, our private or semi-
private swim lessons will help you achieve
your goals.

Lifeguard Prep Class
For those who want to become Lifeguards
but need to refresh their swimming skills.
Participants will learn the precourse for the
Lifeguard class and will have the opportunity
to perform these skills as well as some of the
lifeguard skills learned in the lifeguard class.

Scuba Diving
Come learn to scuba dive with Capt. Darrick
Lorenzen’s Divemax Scuba School. Darrick
specializes in organizing and guiding
fundamental dive training and travel. His
unique training and experience allow him
to safely and effectively instruct children as
young as 10 years of age and mature adults
of 65-plus.
Ages 10 and up. All participants
must attend one of the free seminars
in order to register and attend the
classes. No registration required for free
seminars.
