Join speaker Lauren Henke for an evening of
family health information:
• Registered Dietitians provide hands-on
education and counseling for your family.
• Behavior Specialists will provide support for
a variety of emotional needs and coaching to
achieve behavior change.
• Personal Trainers provide exercise coaching.
The goal is to give your child the building
blocks needed to lead a healthy, active
lifestyle and prevent chronic disease for years

Freedom From Smoking
Want to quit using tobacco? Join our classes for
adults. All aspects of smoking and tobacco use
are explored through group support and
behavior modification. Nicotine replacement
products that are currently on the market are
also reviewed. Class is taught by McHenry
County Department of Health staff trained by
the American Lung Association, whose methods
are proven to help people quit for good. Call

Kids in the Kitchen
As kids spend more time in the kitchen, they
gain the confidence to experiment with their
own food creations. Led by Registered
Dietitians, this hands-on workshop will
develop kids’ skills with measuring ingredients;
mixing; and, of course, eating! We’ll move
beyond the crispy treat and learn how to
prepare a healthy summer treat. In addition,
kids will have fun decorating their own kitchen
accessory to take home! For ages 4 and up.
