Centegra
Health Strong
Woman
Sincerely,
Michael S. Eesley, Chief Executive Offcer
I
wanted to thank you
personally for your
ongoing support of
the Centegra Hospital –
Huntley project. On
December 7, we met
with the Illinois Health
Facilities Services and
Review Board for the
second time to discuss
our Centegra Hospital –
Huntley application.
We came within one
single vote of attaining
approval: It was 4-4,
and we needed a
majority of 5 votes. One board member was absent.
We are disappointed that the review board did not
approve our proposal for a new hospital in Huntley.
Over the past year, we have heard an outpouring of
support from residents of southern McHenry County.
Numbers from the state’s own staff confrmed that a
new hospital is needed in that particular area. Even
with this setback, our long-term vision and 100-year-
old commitment to meeting the region’s healthcare
needs remains the same.
Services at our Centegra Health campus in Huntley
continue to provide convenient access for the
community to immediate care, imaging, laboratory,
physician offces and wellness services.
We welcome the opportunity to serve you in
2012—and to help you follow through on your healthy
resolutions. Meanwhile, you’re invited to read about
some of our events and services in this issue of
Health Today
.
On page 3 you’ll fnd information on how to sign up
for our e-newsletter, which contains not only health
information you can use, but a great recipe as well.
The delicious details—and more—are inside.
We look forward to being a part of your healthy
new year.
